If you are having problems viewing this Time lapse it is probably because of an "Out of Memory" condition. The time-lapse consists of the 146 most recent panoramic images from Tetoncam. This is a lot of data and the viewer program requires extra memory to view the time-lapse. The viewer is a JAVA applet. JAVA applets are handled by a program called a "virtual machine." If you are using the Microsoft virtual machine you should have no problem. If you are using Sun's Java Virtual Machine you will need to modify it's startup to use more memory. Here's how; 1. Go to the control panel and double-click on "Java Plug-in." 2. Click on the Advanced tab. 3. In the line "Java Runtime Parameters" type this; -Xmx256m 4. Then press apply. Now close your browser and then reopen it. You should be able to load and view the time-lapse. It will still take some time to load all the data but it will be worth it! Be especially careful if you are using dialup since this will take an extra long time to load and transfer all of the data. Good luck! |
